Question Answered

My projector has become very soft-focus in the centre of the picture and not very bright. Will a new replacement lamp solve the problem? Asked by Alistair T. On Mar 04, 2025

It may be a projector as to why you're having a soft focus or blurry problem on your projector, so adjust the lens or focus ring on the lens to sharpen the image. Rotate the ring, while watching the projector image until the center appears clear and crisp. It may be the angle of your projector, so adjust your projector so it's pointing at the screen and not at an angle. Your projector lens may be covered in dust, fingerprints, or smudges, so you may need to clean your lens. There are a few steps to clean your lens. First, turn off your projector. Then use a soft microfiber to gently wipe the lens surface without excessive pressure as it can scratch the lens. Next, remove the dust by using a can of compressed air. Lastly, use a lens cleaning solution and a damp cloth to wipe away the fingerprints. It may be your projector screen as it could have wrinkles or waves, so smooth them out and fully extend your projector screen. It may also be faulty or improperly plugged-in cables, so make sure they are fully plugged into the projector and replace any frayed or damaged wires. If none of this works, you may need to replace your lamp. Please contact the Infocus manufacturer if none of the solutions work.
